Haiti is no longer Covid-19 free. Yesterday two cases were confirmed here so all of the factories, airports and schools are closed and other gatherings of more than 10 people are banned for the next 30 days. The borders have been sealed and travel restricted to essential personnel. With only 1 doctor for each 3000 Haitians, one of the highest per capita population concentrations in the world and the sparsest medical infrastructure in the Western hemisphere, Haiti is extremely vulnerable to the virus. Please pray that these precautions restrict the spread of the virus and spare catastrophic impacts on our 11 million Haitian sisters and brothers.
